Maybe they’re mentioned in the letter: you reflect on how they’ve helped you or how you appreciate them. This could be a mentor, parent, sibling or a friend who’s got your back.
Maybe you set a goal in the letter, and their support is going to help your reach it. Think: teachers, coaches or partners.
Maybe your letter retells the story of a moment in your life that they were part of. Who wouldn’t love to read your take on their surprise birthday party (which you helped organize) a year or ten down the track?
Maybe your letter is set to arrive on a day that’s as important to them as it is to you. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and other milestones all fall into this category.
Or maybe you have another good reason, all your own, that makes sharing your letter make sense.
Whatever the case, when your friend clicks that link, they’ll see an invitation to subscribe to the letter. They don’t have to if they don’t want to: it’s entirely up to them. But if they do, they’ll probably forget all about it … and then get a huge surprise when your letter finally arrives months or years down the track!
