Dear Me,
despite what you’ve been told you’re enough, a thousand times enough. It’s difficult to unlearn what you’ve been told your entire life but other peoples opinions don’t make you who you are. It’s heartbreaking that you haven’t allowed yourself to look in a mirror in years. You’re just as beautiful and worth looking at as much as the next person whose on the front cover of a magazine. You were robbed of something sacred years ago and I know you carry that burden with you everyday but you don’t have to go at it alone. It wasn’t your fault and there is no right or wrong for how you choose to handle that situation. You’re loved even though your heart and mind feel indifferent about it. It’s tricky because the thought of being loved as some sort of punchline never really leaves your mind, it just lingers like bad perfume but I wish you the audacity to be unhindered by your fear. Celebrate your life everything from the big accomplishments to the small minuscule things but most importantly love yourself, it’s okay to…. I love you.
