A letter from the past |

Dear Future Tasbeeha,

I hope you’re reading this with a smile, not just because of how far you’ve come, but because you’re still grounded in the same values that carried you through every chapter — resilience, faith, and quiet determination.

Right now, I’m in Semester 5 of my BS in Software Engineering at Virtual University. I transitioned into this field after completing an ADP in Chemistry with a CGPA of 3.29. That might seem like a random switch to some, but to me, it was a bold step toward the future I’ve always imagined — one where I use both logic and creativity to build meaningful solutions.

I’m also building my skills as a freelancer, digital marketer, and WordPress developer. The world of social media, e-commerce, and online business is where I’ve begun to find my confidence — not because it’s easy, but because I’ve learned how to stand up for my ideas, ask questions, and trust my instincts even when I’m the quietest one in the room.

I still remember the early days. I wasn’t always confident speaking up during group discussions. Collaboration felt awkward because most of my learning experiences had been one-sided — attend the session, ask a question, and leave. But over time, I started to open up, take part, and even surprise myself with the value I could bring.

There were days when I struggled with internet issues, when interviews didn’t go smoothly, when I doubted if I was good enough to compete with others who seemed more "polished." But even in those moments, I never stopped showing up. And that alone was a win.

I’m grateful for every mentor who gave me time, especially when I needed guidance on building structure in my career. I even learned how to express that gratitude better — through thank-you notes, meaningful conversations, and honest reflections like this one.

To the future me: please don’t forget where you started. Keep your heart soft, your vision clear, and your courage loud. Continue to create. To learn. To serve. And no matter how far you go, remember that your journey began with small, quiet steps — taken in faith, not certainty.

Keep building your digital dreams, one website, one post, one client, one breakthrough at a time. And when you get where you're going, reach back — and pull someone else up with you.

With love, strength, and pride,
Tasbeeha Fatima
