A letter from the past |

Hey girl,

Hope you’re good.

We did it. We finally completed the 75-day challenge. You stayed committed even when it was tough — and look at you now.

You’ve grown so much. You’ve become more disciplined, more at peace, and more in tune with God. Your walk with Him is stronger than it’s ever been. You prayed, you fasted, you stayed consistent, and you trusted Him even when things didn’t make sense. And He showed up — like He always does.

You got that internship. Not because you forced it, but because you aligned yourself with purpose. You gave your all, stayed faithful, and now the doors are opening.

You’ve gained the weight you wanted — your body is thriving and you're looking good, healthy, and confident. You’re finally learning Afrikaans and even a bit of Xitsonga — who would’ve thought? You're doing well in school too. You’re focused, you're studying, and you're actually retaining information. Look at God!

You read 10 books — yes, 10! That’s such a big achievement. You made time to feed your mind, and it shows in the way you carry yourself. You even completed a course on Coursera — maybe you weren’t sure which one when you wrote this, but guess what? You did it anyway.

You’re also finally learning to do things on your own — and that’s a huge accomplishment. You used to struggle with that so much, but now you’re moving through life with a kind of independence and strength you didn’t know you had. You're becoming your own safe space.

You're not in a relationship — and that’s okay. Actually, it’s more than okay. You’re finding yourself outside of other people. You're finally learning to love yourself first. And as for your relationship with Tshego... you finally let him go. You're at peace now. You’re friends — no tension, no hope for something more — just peace and understanding. Growth looks good on you.

You’re waking up at 5 a.m. every morning — and that’s a big deal, because you know how that used to be a real struggle. But now it’s part of who you are. A woman who shows up for herself, even when it’s hard.

I hope you’re smiling as you read this, because you made it. You’re doing better than you think. Keep going. Keep praying. Keep showing up for yourself. You’re not where you used to be — and that’s something to thank God for.

With love,
Your past self — the one who believed in this moment before it came to life
