A letter from the past
Dear Me,
I know things aren’t easy. Anxiety tears you apart and you are constantly in an internal war to gain some momentary peace. The energy you use to make sure no one sees those struggles is exhausting. I know that you feel like you are just treading water alone most days, and the water keeps rising and you work hard to meet it. You are navigating through things you never thought you would. And things aren’t always what you thought they’d be. It’s ok to be sad. And it’s ok to feel things.
But also don’t forget, you’re fearfully and wonderfully made. Everything about you has been crafted and hand picked and has taken all these years for you to become who you are now. I love who you are and how hard you’ve worked to get here. Keep dreaming. You have dreams that come from your heart that will always lead you to be the person you want to be and so much more. Your heart is kind and tender, but your heart is also mighty and is your driving force. The experiences and love and joy and even the heartaches will guide you to keep becoming who you will be. You are loved and you are chosen. And you’re never alone.
I hope you always remember that even on your worst day when all seems lost, that you are worthy of grace. Keep going. I love you.
Me.
