A letter from the past
Dear Me,
I just want you to know, I see you. I know you think no one notices or listens. I see how much you care. I see how hard you love. Your forgiveness is unconditional. Writing this to you, I know you think I’m just saying words. They don’t apply to you. I know you think it’s a facade that you put on so others think you’re a good person. The truth is, you’re not pretending. These are your daily actions, even when no one is looking. You do care. Too much. You forgive too easily. You are so hopeful when others wouldn’t be. That’s what makes you so wonderful. You exude light! Although you burn your candle with the wick burning at both ends... it never burns out. You don’t melt. I know you never wanted to see certain parts of this ugly world. You never wavered though.... people are generally good and you see that. And most importantly... you’re a rocking mom that’s raising superheroes. Love yourself as much as I do. You are priceless to so many, and this world would be a dimmer place without you. I love you.
