A letter from the past

Dear Me,

Life has really thrown you some curveballs huh? I know it's hard for you to see past what you deem your greatest failure, but I'm here to tell you, it's not your fault. That accident changed your life and you deserve to give yourself some grace for how youve dealt with it. How youve been strong for others even when you felt broken inside. Your career path does not define you. You define you and I know I never say this to you, but you are pretty great. You always wanted to be half the person your great grandmother was... she was a warrior... and guess what, you may not feel like it most days, but you're doing her proud. The person you have become through the hands dealt is someone you should be proud of. Don't ignore the ones around you when they say the same thing. Don't think they are lying or just trying to be nice, like you always assume. Once again, give yourself some grace. You will figure it out. You are not alone. And most importantly, I love you, even on the days it feels like I don't. I will tell you more often and give you the same love you give to others. I will do my best to avoid the negative and instead bring up the victories more. Continue to be nobody but yourself, just as your favorite quote reads. Continue being the warrior you know you are capable of being.

- Love me
