Dear FutureMe,
I have an 8 month old baby who has changed my life. My daughter is at the point where she sits up, crawls, picks up everything, pulls herself up with tables and chairs and says "mama" but may not know what it means.
This last year has been phenomenal. I learned that I was pregnant in August of 2008 and had a wonderful pregnancy. I gave birth in April and spent my three months of maternity leave walking around the city and enjoying as many coffee shops as possible. I hope to continue enjoying coffee shops with my daughter for the rest of my life.
In September of 2008 I ran a half marathon and recently started training again.
Being a healthy mother has become very important to me. Though I hate taking more time away from my family, I have been trying to prioritize going to the gym.
I currently work a full time job at a Community Mental Health Agency (I just asked for a raise today) as well as a part time job fifteen hours a week. I am hoping to start working a fewer hours at my part time job.
When I get this e-mail, I hope to be down to one job. I hope to have finished paying off my credit card debt and make a good imprint on my student loans while continuing to save as well.
I hope to travel abroad between now and when I get this letter. I studied abroad 7 years ago and I really hope to travel again in the near future, but savings and debt might have to come first.
I hope that I enjoy each moment between now and receiving this letter because my time with my daughter will continue to speed by and I have no intention of regretting any of it.
Sorry for all of the cliches.
Love,
Me
