Time Travelled — almost 10 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I will start out by giving a few personal qualities I hope you still obtain. The fist is a grind that is unmatched by others, a work ethic unable to be broken by adversity. The second quality I hope you still have is the ability to take other’s hatred toward you and turn into motivation to succeed. Prove people wrong that doubt you and show them what it takes to be a champion. The Final quality I hope more than anything you keep is a sense of humbleness. A wise man once said, “be humble or be humbled.” We both know many harsh lessons have been learned through this. Stay humble no matter how close to the top you seem. I hope you have changed your sense of entitlement. Nothing is handed to us and we need to stay hungry and expect nothing from those who test our abilities. Being more open to people of different interest would be an accurate quality I hope you have, rather than shutting people out who are not seen as value to you try to open your perspectives of them and be open to their abilities to succeed and be a friend to them. Also, I hope you are able to show those you care for that you love them. Rather than being cold to them, I hope you’re loving and able to express feelings to them. Playing lacrosse at Furman will hopefully have been some of the best years of your life. Embrace the grind no matter what challenges you may face and do not give in to those who doubt your abilities. I hope a career in either finance or sports medicine has paid off, these career choices seem to interest me the most at this moment in my life. Well also being a secret agent and/or an assassin but who knows what opportunities will become present when college is over. As far as my home life goes, I hope you are happily married and financially blessed. Please don’t get married until you can for sure afford it that way you are not concerned about debt. Obviously marry someone you truly love and trust with all your heart and make sure she will be able to stay with you through thick and thin. Our children will no doubt be super athletes, I know they are young now if even born but they will be super babies with extreme talents. I don’t need to hope for this because I know your genes and whoever you marry with be athletically worthy of producing the next world champion boxer or lacrosse MVP. In conclusion, I hope more than anything you remember who you are, a champion. Don’t let anyone tell you different and stay hungry for success. Work harder than you ever have now so you can relax later. Be strong and remember what Cam Newton had to face, thrown out of Florida, dropped down to junior college division, then next thing you know wins Auburn the national championship and leads the Panthers to the Super Bowl. One moment you can be on top of the world and the next the world can be on top of you. Stay determined through all these ups and downs and I know success with be inevitable.
