Time Travelled — almost 10 years

Peaceful right?

I hope you're alive and doing well. At least you better be. I expect you to take good care of our existence. Anyway, I just thought I'd check up on you, see how things are. I have no idea what's going on in your life right now, but I'm hoping you're actually doing what you want with your life and that you're happy. In the end, that's all that matters, right? Being happy? I wonder how much you've changed. I wonder what you're doing with yourself now. I wonder if you've found someone special yet. You better not still be a virgin... I'd have to slap you for that. If I could. What kind of technology do you have there now? Remember your old Macbook Pro? 2.7ghz i7 with 4 gigs of ram, and a 500gig HD. This was high tech, dude. Top of the line. That's probably crap compared to what you have now though. I hope you're still doing photography. That's one thing I'm hoping never to give up. If you're not doing it now, get a camera and start taking pictures again. Seriously. Anyway, since you can't really reply to me, I'll just let you know how I'm doing. Life... Well, isn't the best right now. Claire just broke up with me. Well, about a couple months ago now. She thought it'd be for the best if we broke it off and just stayed as friends... I'm still kind of suffering from it, and it feels like the world is ending. I hate everything right now, life just seems shitty most the time and I'm rarely happy. But deep down inside, I think maybe, just maybe this was for the best. I think you'd know better though. Who knows, maybe you two got back together again... Or maybe you found someone even better. I'm about to start MCAD in 5 weeks. Hopefully. It's kind of intimidating, and I have no idea if it'll be worth what I'm paying for it. Again, you'd be the better judge of that. Why do I feel like you're kicking yourself in the head right now for all those loans you gotta pay off still? Whatever, that's your problem now. Anyway, mom's kind of in a tough situation too. No idea what'll happen to the house. I know we probably won't keep it. Hopefully she'll figure something out for herself. I wonder how she's doing in your time... Remember King? He was such a good dog. I wonder if you have another dog now. Maybe a German Shepherd like you've been wanting to get for a long time. I wonder if you've been to Europe yet. I've always wanted to go... I'm sure it's amazing over there. I wouldn't at all be surprised if you live in England or France now. But that's just wishful thinking. Maybe you already went and realized it's not all it's cut out to be. Well, anyway, I suppose that's all I have to say. I hope you enjoyed your little voice from the past, and that you at least got something out of it. It was fun writing to you. I can't really give you any wisdom or anything like that, considering I'm you from 10 years in the past, so... Hopefully, you weren't expecting something really thought-provoking or life-changing to suddenly pop up from your past-self. But hey, at least it's something, right? But tell you what, how about a small ode to life? You've made it this far, and by that I'm certainly impressed. So go pour yourself a drink, and spend a little time thinking about all the things that have passed between now and then. It may have all went by fast, but that my friend has been a decade. So here's to us... Cheers!
