A letter from Nov 12, 2024

Dear FutureMe, Hi. Here's what you think of yourself: “Not quite human. Somewhat less... I cannot experience the glory of the condition, only the pain of it...” Yeah. I'm really, really alone and I feel like it is built into my genes. I dream of actually going to Uni next year. Throne, I really do. But what then? I know it'll be harder than everything I've ever experienced... At least there'll be a purpose to my life. Are you there? At University? Or did yet some other unexpected thing happen as has been tradition? Do you have romantic interests? Currently, I don't because I literally can't. Connecting with people is just so difficult. What else do you do? Are you one of the better students in you're at University? ... Am I being too hopeful by talking about Uni so much? Yes... But it is all we have, man, it really is. Everyone I know who has it good has been there and we should be there. We worked so hard through highschool that it is some cosmic insanity that it just goes to waste like that. Anyways here are people you should remember. Just in case you forgot about them: 1. Mankosi, the best friend you've ever had. Work hard, whatever you're doing, so that you go to Lawley and give her that kiss you promised her. 2. Vannesah. You know two. Both are weird women. But important to you. 3. Refilwe... Yeah I don't know why you should even remember her. She's probably married at the moment. But she's important too. Who are your friends? Have you found friends in 2025? I pray to the Emperor that you did... All the daydreaming I'm doing about how we're going to make a good friend and study partner can't be for nothing. Assuming you didn't make it to Uni and you're still alive... What are you doing? How are you doing? I'm so sorry, man. It is probably my fault somehow. I hope you're at a job at least. I don't know... I honestly have no plan for that.
