Dear FutureMe,
We are 22 years old right now. We haven’t started our big girl job yet. We start in 12 days and we are anxious(per usual) and excited in the same breath. I hope you’re doing well, enjoying your job and staying healthy and happy. Nursing is something we have always dreamed of doing. I’m hoping we didn’t burn out and actually love our job. When you read this, please be sure to remember the excitement we had about this job. How much work it took us to get to this moment. You deserve to be happy and successful. God wouldn’t have put this dream on your heart if you were not capable of doing it. Don’t give up on your dreams and goals. Maybe in a few years we have a different dream. And that’s okay. But whatever it is, believe in yourself and don’t give up. Don’t worry about other people’s opinions of you and your life. Be assertive and direct. Don’t forget who you are and where you’re going. Just remember your 22 year old self is rooting for you, loves you, and is excited to see what the future holds for us. Stay safe, don’t settle for less than you deserve, and please go get a physical and dental appointment(bc you forget). Talk soon.
