A letter from Apr 18, 2023

April 18th 2023,8:06 PM Dear Future Ada, If you can, maybe you can read this with (our?) parents. I'm sure they would love to see what I wrote haha! I hope you're doing okay. I hope you don't cringe at this letter in the future, but I might write more letters so get used to cringing. I wrote one for myself a few years ago, but I had to change my email and it got deleted, so I guess I'll never know what I wrote to myself. I wonder what kind of things I wrote. I'm going to turn 14 in 51 days. If you end up seeing this, I wonder what your views on life and the world are like now. You're 17 now, in grade 12! Are your grades good? What school are you planning to go to? I wonder if the high school will be stressful. I'm so scared for high school, but I won't tell anybody. I really have no idea what the future has in store for me. Keep living your best life and work hard so you can get into a good college! Are there any friends from 8th grade that are still your friends? Most importantly, is Cookie still around? I would be so sad if he wasn't around anymore. If he's not around, did you get another bird? I doubt I'll ever love the new bird as much as Cookie though. Do you still cry over nothing? I hope not. That would be embarrassing. Is your memory improving? I hope I get really popular and have a lot of friends in high school. DO YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?! I need to know, although maybe if you do have a boyfriend you two should break up because 12th grade is still kind of young for a boyfriend, and you need to study a lot. I'm so scared about what is going to happen in the future. Sometimes I wonder if life is just a game. A Game is defined as a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck. Maybe everything is just a game. I think life is like a game of tic tac toe, the first player plays to win, while the second player plays to tie the game. Too bad I was born as the second player, I kind of wish I was a guy, although I would never be this pretty then! I hope you can win without having to tie the game. Sucks being a girl huh. Do you still draw and play piano and Ice skate? I hope you do. I hope that our family is happy together forever! I'll make sure to work hard in 8th and 9th grade!
