A letter from November 29th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, I hope you're happy. I hope you're doing something with yourself. I hope you feel like you belong in this world and that you have a purpose that you're acting upon. I hope that you're not afraid, but if you are, I at least hope you're not letting it stop you. And I hope that the next letter you write to our future self will be more specific, because you took care of the basic issues and got settled. If you haven't taken that cross-country road trip yet, drop what you're doing and do it now. Likewise for any international traveling. Also, please write if you feel up to it. I'm having a tough go of it, but hopefully you'll have it figured out by then. If you're unhappy with your job, quit it and find a new one. If you're unhappy with where you're living, place is basically irrelevant, so you should just move. If you're not with someone and you want to be, you're not getting any younger. If you are with someone, surprise her with a gift today. On the extremely off chance you have a child, give them a gift too while you're at it. And if you're not at like 3,000+ movies seen by this point, hurry already! Remember that you are good, deserving, and that you are the first and main obstacle in your own way. If you're gonna be average, just embrace it and don't **** yourself with regret. But if you want to be above average, then give yourself over to the grind, and stop worrying. Either it'll happen or it won't, but you'll be more interesting on the other side just for the process. Ok, see you soon.
