A letter from November 12th, 2020

Time Travelling — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I’m writing this letter at 2 am in the year of 2020 the worst year of your life(I hope). Atm I don’t know how I will get over this feeling of rejection and betrayal, do you remember this feeling and what happened? How you didn’t sleep for days straight and lost weight after finding out your ex cheated on you. Do you remember uncontrollably crying and praying to God because you were going to fly to confront him and you had no idea how you will able to handle it. And after that you met a guy who swooped in while you were vulnerable and broken and promised you he would never hurt you and did the same thing. This happened in the same year and although you may be beaten up you’re not broken!! Remember the moment you faced your ex and you didn’t shed one tear ( even though you cried for days) but instead you stood strong with pride. And although you’re still hurt and feel betrayed you’re moving forward learning from your mistakes. I hope you were able to learn how to love yourself, I hope that by reading this you can look back at your life and it makes you feel proud. Are you still making art? Please don’t give up and don’t listen to what he said about your potential and don’t let his doubt get to you you’re great, you can do this! DONT stop doing things you love and be kinder to your parents they’re old and are trying their best. Be patient with your sister she’s just trying to help. And most importantly appreciate the love you receive from your friends and family the amount of support they are giving you through these hard times is amazing never stop being friends with kesi and Ashley they’re golden. Also did you learn how to dance shuffle? If not do it now you’ll regret it just like I’m regretting my 17 year old self didn’t learn. Love you Past you
