A letter from September 12th, 2020

Dear Sarah, Happy birthday! Hope you still use this email. Mid-twenties here we are! I wonder where you are. Are to still in the Southeast? Maybe a big city like Atlanta, Chicago, or New York. Maybe even Seattle. L.A.? No way!!! Lol. Hm... maybe you're in grad school. Or maybe you went straight into the workforce. Who knows!!! So many routes to take. No one journey is the same: remember that. I have a feeling you need that reminder. Respect your journey! :) How's dating? Date any girls yet? I'm so eager to right now, but... Covid... I just downloaded Hinge. Maybe you still use that. Or maybe this is a sign to get on that ****. Don't feel pressured to be in a relationship. It's been over two years since my last one and I'm just fine. Omg, I wonder if Bea's engaged to someone. (Hope Bea's doing okay.) Maybe someone you didn't expect to is right now. Or pregnant? Oh my. I wonder who you're living with. Do you have a steady job right now? Maybe you still rely on Dad to give you money. What's life like post-Covid...? I'm sure you're super changed. Like you always carry hand sanitizer now. Or maybe you still were a mask in some places. It's probably a good idea. Probably to the doctor's still. And the grocery store. Gosh. The world probably feels the same, just that one thing feels off. Hope you got that vaccine... Oh, **** wait. Who's president??? How was Joe Biden? Please god, I hope it was Joe Biden. I hope you are still trying to do at least one act of activism every day. Maybe you still do the 5 A's? And if not, that's okay- I'm sure you're going through something right now or are just really busy. But maybe take this sign to get back in the saddle. I know good habits are hard, but I believe in you. You can do it. Hey, life is hard and weird. Just do your best. Oh! What's the pet situation like? Cheyenne still around? Maybe you took her to wherever you moved to (if you did move). Well, let's see, she'd be pretty old by then. Fifteen! Oh man, I hope she's still around. :( But it's okay, you're always gonna love all the pets you had to spend life with and I'm sure if Cheyenne's not around, you found another companion. Maybe you want one! You probably want one if you don't already, haha! Hm... what else... reading anything good? Still journal? Oh! What about with Emma? Journal still around? If not that's okay- I'm sure you're still friends. :) I guess that's it. Hope you're doing okay. If not, that's cool too. It's gonna be okay. You're gonna keep moving forward.
