A letter from October 7th, 2019
The government is thinking about impeaching Donald Trump. When he got elected, I thought hey, it can't be that bad. But he's ripped apart the country and made life so much worse for many.
I'm LGBT. The previous Supreme Court helped so much, legalizing same-sex marriage and stuff. But now, it's full of homophobic people who don't understand that our lives don't affect theirs.
Being gay is not a problem to you, nor to anyone else. I'm living life my way, you can live yours your way. How can something as beautiful and amazing as love create so much hate?
I have a right to live the same that everyone else does. Just because I like girls- what effect does that have on anything? You shouldn't be able to cause me harm for something THAT DOESN'T AFFECT YOU.
But you can. Because the government is run by someone who lies and thinks highly of himself and is just not the right person to run the country.
I hope by the time I get this letter, he'll be impeached. And if not- you only have a few more months. Hopefully.
Otherwise, my entire life might quite literally be ruined, all because of someone's views.
