Dear FutureMe,
Last year on January 21, you discovered that what the ER doctors said was true: Your very first baby had no heartbeat, and the miscarriage began. You've been home from work for a whole week while the process ran its course, and today, it seems like it is finally almost over.
At this time, you and M had been married for 131 days, and it had been just wonderful! Everyday, you made each other laugh. You agreed that you both wanted to try for another baby as soon as possible. The doctor gave you the "OK," so you were hoping that you'd be pregnant again by Valentine's Day, even though it was unlikely that it would happen so soon. You had a very strong feeling it would, though.
So I'm hoping that by the time you do read this letter, you finally have had the experience of a full pregnancy, and I hope you are reading this with your new baby in your arms. (I still can't say for sure if it will be a boy or girl, but I'm still leaning toward BOY!) If things did go quickly, you may even have a Halloween baby! How funny would that be?
Well, best of luck with moving forward! No matter what happens, you will get through it, and life has great things in store still. Love M more everyday, and enjoy his company. Keep exploring, treating yourself well, and loving those around you.
Here's to 2011,
