The Future?

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Well, Today is Sunday December 18th and the Bears are playing at 5:30pm tonight. Right now it is 3:52pm Nhat, Tuan, and Thanh are playing on Nhat's modded xbox (not xbox 360). We are waiting for Tony, Jon, and Eric for the game and dinner. I graduated from SCU in June and haven't had the slightest idea what to do with my life since. I am working with a temp agancy as the accounts payable/ receptionist at a start up in Santa Clara. My assignment will be up next month and I am not sure if they are going to offer me the position or if I will get another assignment. Nhat and I are going to be moving into Grandma and Grandpa's rental house now that Merrill has moved to Prunedale. We are going to wait until after the holidays to paint the interior of the house and then start moving in. Tony and Thanh are going to be moving into our apartment when we move out. Nhat is excited that the guys are back from San Diego, but he is also kind of sad that they have just moved back and he will be moving out of the area (as if a 10 minute drive is really out of the area). Right now we live next door to his mother and we are moving near Grandma and Grandpa. I am glad that it will be easier to keep an eye on them after we move. They are getting older and they do strange things sometimes and make me worried. Even though all I have ever wanted to do is be a teacher, now that I am out of school that doesn't look like it will happen. Teacher's don't make enough money and we have goals that require money. Nhat wants to expand his eBay business and if that goes well, he wants to open a brick and morter comic shop. In order to do that, we need money. And that need is what is driving me to go back to school, just 6 months after graduating, in order to take accounting classes. I had felt like such a looser when I graduated and ended up working with a temp agency, but after getting on myspace.com and finding my high school friends and realizing that they haven't graduated yet or are still living with their parents or working at Starbucks, I feel a lot more successful. I am content with my life right now. We have $1500 left to pay off my ring. We will tell my family then. I had wanted to get married in September 2006, but that doesn't look likely now. I know that we are getting married for the right reasons, not just because it is the next logical step in the relationship. He really and truly makes me happy. He said that all he wanted for Christmas is a son, but that doesn't seem likely at this point. He wants to have children (his sons) within the next 3 years. Of course, he is going to have nothing but little girls now. My sister is 12. There is really nothing to say other than that. This too shall pass. Daniel has turned 21, Kirk has a girlfriend, job, a license, a beard, and a diploma. Will wonders never cease? Ahriel is still my best friend and I will love her forever, no matter how many mistakes I think she is making. I realize that she probably feels the same way about me. Well Nhat and Tuan are now playing heroclix and Tony, Jon, and Eric have yet to arrive. I should get back to my book. After the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has come out I have decided to read the books. I bought a nice paperback with all 7 books, in the order that C.S. Lewis intended them to be read. I guess I should say Happy Birthday! as I have decided to have this sent on your 30th birthday. 30 seems rather far away right now, but when I was 18 college graduation seemed far away too and that didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. With all my love, Me (@ 22)
