Dear Me, How are you? I hope you are well. Today you turn 18. I hope it is a happy day for you. I hope you are happy. I'm going through a lot right now and I want to fix it before this gets to you, but I don't know if I am strong enough to. As you put the final touches on colleges and you start your grownuphood, I want you to remember to be happy. I want the choices you make to make you happy. I hope you have accepted yourself by now and maybe found someone who accepts you too. Coming out is terrifying, I know, but I did it with a few, and I think you will be ready to do it with everyone else. But if you're not, that is ok. Remember that you do have people supporting you, even if there are only a few. When the world stands against you, remember to love yourself and you will be ok. I hope you have learned to love yourself, your identity and your body. Remember to love and you will be loved. Love, Me
