Dear FutureMe,
You went off the last of your medication today. You have stopped the cycle of self destruction. You are 16 and still alive. Do you still go to the roof of longs to watch the planes of LAX glide into the sunset? do you still spread invisibles wings as your growing hair whips into the cold wind fighting against you? do you still take that hour walk to the park only to lie in the itchy grass for the rest of day and feel the sunshine fade across your body?
You made the decision this week to stop your friends, stop their abusive way of treating you like you are the stupidest human on earth, You decided to walk away and told them so. You decided to take your own path in life, and not let anything stand in your way, To live the way you have been yearning to live. Were these decisions real?
What did you let go of? what could you hold onto?
You're still here.
As long as your believe that it will happen.
When you get this, give hugs to all the people you love that day. Don't tell them why, just hug them. Hugs are one of the strongest ways of showing them you love them...
And to remind yourself...
You're still here.
