Definitions

"FutureMe Personal" refers to the primary futureme.org site, which is meant for individual use.

"FutureMe Pro"refers to the "white-label" futureme product, where customers can create and then share their own "letters to the future" site with a community.

Both products are owned and operated by FutureMe Labs, LLC. Our terms of service vary between our products, as outlined below.

FutureMe Personal

FutureMe Personal uses cookies and javascript to make interactions with FutureMe easy and meaningful, and to better understand how FutureMe is used so that we can continue to improve our products.

FutureMe does not share email addresses used for accounts or letters FutureMe Personal or any other FutureMe letter information with any third party advertisers. For FutureMe Personal, we do use email addresses to identify users with several third party services (namely Uservoice (which we use for customer support) and Stripe and PayPal (which we use for payment processing).

FutureMe reserves the right to edit or remove any submissions or accounts for any reason. Any FutureMe Personal "public letters" that include personally identifiable information, email addresses, advertisements, excessive profanity, hate speech or any other content that we deem inappropriate will be removed without notice. If you encounter a "public letter" that you consider to be inappropriate or illegal, please click the "inappropriate" link, which will remove the letter from the public section, and also feel free to communicate the details to support@futureme.org.

FutureMe does not prescreen "public letters" sent to FutureMe Personal, and as such the views expressed in these letters do not necessarily reflect those of FutureMe. In no event shall FutureMe be held liable for any damages that are consequential of the use of the site.

FutureMe reserves the right to edit and reproduce any "public letters" in derivative works, including printed materials, as the sole copyright holder. If you have previously posted a "public letter" and are not comfortable with these conditions, please change its status to "private."

You may reuse FutureMe content for your personal, non-commercial use, if, for example you want to copy a favorite letter to your blog. Please do so in a way that does not prejudice FutureMe or its contributing users.

Users under 13 cannot write letters on the primary FutureMe Personal site, but may use FutureMe Pro as described below.

FutureMe Pro

Email addresses that are only used to send letters to "FutureMe Pro" sites are never shared with any third parties or contacted by FutureMe Personal.

The only third party javascript used for FutureMe Pro sites is Google Analytics, and our implementation does not include relay email addresses or any other personally identifying information.

Users under 13 may only use FutureMe as a letter writer of a FutureMe Pro site, administered by a teacher or guardian.
