"FutureMe Personal" refers to the primary futureme.org site, which is meant for individual use.
"FutureMe Pro"refers to the customizable futureme product where a "Site Administrator" can create and then share their own "letters to the future" site with a community.
Both products are owned and operated by Memories Group Limited. Our terms of service vary between our products, as outlined below.
FutureMe does not share email addresses or any other letter information with any third party advertisers. For FutureMe Personal, we do use email addresses to identify users with several third party services: Uservoice, which we use for customer support, Stripe and PayPal, both of which we use for payment processing.
FutureMe reserves the right to edit or remove any submissions or accounts for any reason. Any FutureMe Personal "public letters" that include personally identifiable information, email addresses, advertisements, excessive profanity, hate speech or any other content that we deem inappropriate will be removed without notice. If you encounter a "public letter" that you consider to be inappropriate or illegal, please click the "inappropriate" link, which will remove the letter from the public section, and also feel free to communicate the details to email@example.com.
FutureMe does not prescreen "public letters" sent to FutureMe Personal, and as such the views expressed in these letters do not necessarily reflect those of FutureMe. In no event shall FutureMe be held liable for any damages that are consequential of the use of the site.
FutureMe reserves the right to edit and reproduce any "public letters" in derivative works, including printed materials, as the sole copyright holder. If you have previously posted a "public letter" and are not comfortable with these conditions, please change its status to "private."
You may reuse FutureMe content for your personal, non-commercial use, if, for example you want to copy a favorite letter to your blog. Please do so in a way that does not prejudice FutureMe or its contributing users.
Users under 13 cannot write letters on the primary FutureMe Personal site, but may use FutureMe Pro as described below.
Email addresses that are only used to send letters to "FutureMe Pro" sites are never shared with any third parties.
A Site Administrator may optionally configure a FutureMe Pro site such that, for subsequently written letters on this site, both email addresses and/or the letter contents will be viewable by the Site Administrator (such as a teacher who wants to monitor the letters sent by a group of students). If this setting is on for a given FutureMe Pro Site, a notice will be posted underneath the "Send to the Future" button that indicates as much.
Users under the age of 13 may only use FutureMe as a letter writer with a FutureMe Pro site administered by a teacher or guardian acting as the Site Administrator.
By employing the FutureMe products and services, you are hereby agreeing to the terms set forth above.
