This is some serious stuff, so pay attention:
"FutureMe Personal" refers to the primary futureme.org site, which is meant for individual use.
"FutureMe Pro"refers to the "white-label" product, where customers create and then share their own "letters to the future" site. Our terms of service vary between these products, as outlined below.
We do not share email addresses or any other FutureMe letter information with any third party advertisers. Any email addresses submitted through FutureMe will be kept strictly confidential and only used in the context of FutureMe products. While we do not share private letter contents with any third parties, for the main "FutureMe Personal" product, we do use email addresses to identify users with several third party services (namely Uservoice (which we use for customer support) and Stripe and PayPal (which we use for payment processing). Email addresses submitted solely through letters sent to "FutureMe Pro" sites are never shared with any third parties.
Users under 13 may only use FutureMe as a letter writer of a "FutureMe Pro" site, administered by a teacher or guardian. Users under 13 cannot write letters on the primary "FutureMe Personal" site.
FutureMe reserves the right to edit or remove any submissions or accounts for any reason. Any "public letters" that include personal information, email addresses, advertisements, excessive profanity, hate speech or any other content that we deem inappropriate will be removed without notice. If you encounter a "public letter" that you consider to be inappropriate or illegal, please click the "inappropriate" link, which will remove the letter from the public section, and also feel free to communicate the details to email@example.com.
FutureMe does not prescreen "public letters" sent to "FutureMe Personal", and as such the views expressed in these letters do not necessarily reflect those of FutureMe. In no event shall FutureMe be held liable for any damages that are consequential of the use of the site.
FutureMe reserves the right to edit and reproduce any "public letters" in derivative works, including printed materials, as the sole copyright holder. If you have previously posted a "public letter" and are not comfortable with these conditions, please change its status to "private."
You may reuse FutureMe content for your personal, non-commercial use, if, for example you want to copy a favorite letter to your blog. Please do so in a way that does not prejudice FutureMe or its contributing users.
By employing the FutureMe services, you are hereby agreeing to the terms set forth above.
