Dear Future Me from 2008

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I am sending this from 2008. That may seem like a long time ago. Hopefully by this time, you are graduated from college, or at least very close to being done. At this point in time you have a few thousand dollars in debt...and you still have that '82 Pontiac Trans Am sitting broken in the driveway. You are having trouble with your Java class and are working a lot and you don't have too much free time. You have been sick a lot this year with colds and the flu and you have been coughing constantly. You aren't having much fun selling appliances, but it could be worse. Your work is threatening to close down in six months if it doesn't improve. The economy is crap and everyone is losing jobs, but it hasn't effected you too much yet. This is just after the 2008 Yorba Linda fire, which was a really bad fire if you don't remember. Enough with the bad stuff. Even though things aren't going perfectly your way, you are still having a lot of fun. You love to watch anime like ToraDora, Macross Frontier, Clannad ~After Story, and many more. You listen to a lot of good music like Seikan Hikou and Anata no Oto from Macross. You play WoW too much and you have a level 76 druid, and a 71 rogue. You love to go out with your friends like Fernando and all those guys- you just went out to Honda-ya restaurant in old town last night, and had a lot of fun. Hopefully you have gone there many more times sense I wrote this message. You just received those mousepads you ordered for $2.99 each, and you are super happy with them. You went to Knott's Berry Farm recently and had a lot of fun. You just got to disc #a208 in your anime collection, which filled up the first disc binder. Gas has dropped tremendously in price down to below $3.00 a gallon. I bet you haven't seen gas that low in forever!!! Anyways, I need to go finish my Java program and take Jason to school tonight, so I can't keep rambling on, although it is quite fun. I hope you are doing very well and I hope you have found someone in your life to make you even happier than I am now. Even if you haven't, you were never the type of person to get depressed about things like that: You would just think to yourself, "I am way better off without a girlfriend anyways". Stay yourself and I wish you the best! -Yourself from 3 years ago
