Dear FutureMe,
I guess I should start with life for the you from April 6th, huh? Well, you're trying to keep yourself prepared for the Relient K concert tomorow(and hoping Chris doesn't kill Matt Thiessen after their second song like he said he would. lol). You're a freshman at Pasadena High School, and fifteen years old. IT'S GOOD FRIDAY!! =D. I would have to say that your best friend is Mai. You don't have a job. You can't afford to go anywhere worth going (except the concert and New York...?). The only [thing] you can trust with your feelings is your Xanga. The only people you've entrusted with the site are Mai, Marilyn, and Jennifer, though Jennifer still hasn't gone to it to actually read it.
-You trust strangers to keep your spirits up, to give you advice, to help you make it through the day. You weigh around 273 pounds, and you're in WeightWatchers.
-You're in choir and band, though you plan to quit band for your sophomore year so that you can be in Showtime Choir (good luck in the tryouts, by the way!).
-You call yourself an "aspiring photographer." I know you believe that you will be a photographer at some point in life, but you have to get other jobs, try other things, before you can go through with it. Oh, and an idea, see about taking a class or two, because we both know full well how much you need it.
NOW...BACK TO THE FUTUREEE.
-You turned sixteen yesterday. I hope you got what you hoped for (and more).
-I hope you still have some good friends.
-I hope you've made some new friends.
-I hope you, dare I say it, have a boyfriend. Just be sure it's a good one, though. Don't settle for some jerk.
-I hope you haven't thought you were in love again. That's never something good to think. Remember Romeo & Juliet, 'kay?
-I hope you don't care about what other people think.
-I hope you're keeping your grades up.
-I hope you're not completely stressed out.
-I hope you trust people now.
-I hope you think this whole e-mail is totally stupid.
There's a good chance you didn't get all that you hoped for on your birthday. You should know you didn't get a car, but maybe you'll have a camera. I know how much you love those.
Please remember that you don't need everything you want to have what you need. <--I truly hope THAT makes sense...
Please, Amy, make this a SWEET sixteen for me, okay?
