Hello, what's new?
Dear FutureMe,

I've always thought this would be a good idea -- to write myself in the future. I almost tried it this year -- to put in Dad's income tax file, to read when I look at again next year when doing his returns.

Anyway, I, of course, like everyone else, hope the future is better. There are many good things about now -- not being in a war zone, not having a terminal disease, not having lost a child, not having to go hungry ... and numerous other things. But I have been a bit stressed about money and life/purpose. I feel like I don't know what direction I'm going and it will be so long to get there -- meanwhile I have so many other things that need doing (completion of work on the house, GMAT studying/testing, GWU -- if I go that direction, finding work/passion/income ... etc).

Right now I am starting to learn (and attempting to practise the Law of Attraction) -- that is, what you focus on, you get. I want to focus on better things. So, having said that ... I hope:

To eliminate anxiety / depression / feeling down about myself and directioness IMMEDIATELY (July 17, 2006).

To get to my ideal weight (140 lbs), fitness and energy level by AUGUST 31, 2006.

To get the house looking exceptional and rented to a superb renter BY AUGUST 31, 2006; to get there only expenses I can EASILY handle.

To find work / a passion / a purpose, which is extremely rewarding both personally and financially (at least $100,000 per year), AND which I can do in AZ, by SEPTEMBER 1, 2006.

To go to AZ for an extended period of time and without financial hardship BY OCTOBER 11, 2006.

To create all of the above with extreme ease.

Hope you've done this or something even better!

~me

Dear PastMe,

Well you have certainly come a long way. Renovating the house took much longer than you expected, but was also an extremely satisfying project (in the end).

You didn't lose any weight.

You didn't earn the money you wanted; you didn't end up in AZ.

Is it possible to really make dreams like this come true?

What would it take?

~me
