A letter from October 24th, 2014

Dear FutureMe, Sam is turning TWO in a week! I have firefighting and first aid training (in Calgary) in a week! Things are busy. Things Sam is up to: - He put his leg on the crib rail to try and escape! Ah! - He opens toiletries and has been opening/closing doors and turning lights off/on this past month. (Today he combined the two and got stuck in his room) - Sam is starting to spontaneously say more words! "Hat", "shoes", "Papa's house", "meow meow" ... - He has a hard time with "L", "K", and final sounds. I wonder if he is having some speech issues due to his underbite? - When sleepy he whines A LOT for things and we've started to really, really encourage more speech - it's helping! - He wear size '2t/3t' clothes and just started wearing 'size 9' shoes. - Sam walks down the stairs on his own; we need to get handrails sorted. - Sam is very affectionate with us and the cats :D - He loves music, instruments and toys that mimic real life. I wonder what it will be like when Sam is speaking more? I wonder what he will think of daycare? I wonder if Sam will be into Halloween and Christmas this yea? He's grown so much! He's a lot of fun :) Oh! Do the photo in a photo thing!
