Thing 1 is five and is learning a lot and becoming a real person but sometimes still freaks out and I don't understand why. However, this used to be all of the time, and now about half the time when he is upset about something we can talk about it. Real personhood can't be that far away. He is a great reader, loves math and science, but is not so interested in social sciences. As a kindergartener, he is way ahead of other kids his age, which is why I am (reluctantly) homeschooling).
Thing 2 is four, but still hasn't left behind "being three". It is such a hard stage and I don't love it. I would give anything for him to be potty trained. ANYTHING. He loves to snuggle up to read a book, and has great comprehension. When I ask him to summer a page we just read, he gives me the most amazing (and accurate) answers. He is physically adept, and is totally going to be an athlete.
Thing 3 is one and it is the age I adore most. His dad and I are his favorite, he is easy to please and quick to laugh. He is learning the world and does the funniest things. His first words are imitations, and there is nothing more adorable when he throws his arms in the air and shouts "gooooaaal" like his brothers do. Since birth, he has been the happiest, most frequently smiling, baby I've ever known.
Remember this, and tell me how they've changed,
Love,
The mom of your children.
