Dear FutureMe,
Hopefully you're still using this email address and if my math is correct, today is our 30th birthday....is everything what we hoped for?
Did you ever become an actuary? (If you did, buy yourself something nice today :-) ) Did you ever buy that house for your parents? Are you seeing someone, or better yet, do you have children? Are we still hanging out with the old guys?
In the end, none of this really matters anyway right? Happiness is relative and it's more of a matter of being thankful for what you have, rather than thinking about what you're missing. New things are nice, (I'm sure the gadgets and gizmos are kickass now) but they loose their shine and aren't as important or cool as time goes one. Pay attention to the details and appreciate the little things in life (if you still are, then good job) because time moves too quickly.
Remember it's how you percieve the world, not vice versa.
And I should really be going back/starting work now. Hopefully you're not as much of a procrastinator as i am/you used to be.
