Dear FutureMe,
Hi. Today, I have decided to change from being a computer science major to a biology major. I was wondering if you are indeed a biology major? Did I make the big switch? Are your grades fucking stellar (they better be, bitch, because if not I hope you feel seriously shitty right now [unless it's because of some horrible tragedy, then instead you need to go get counseling])? As I type this, I have a 3.4 GPA. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. It's okay, maybe even good (according to the intern people), but not good enough!!
You KNOW how competitive med school is. Don't fuck this up. You've made the switch. You know this is a field you will enjoy much more. Computers could never make you as happy as saving lives, baby. And I know you're smart enough.
Unless you've already decided to go the research route? I know that was originally just our fallback, but if you've decided that's your higher calling, then you'll be amazing in that field as well!
I love you. I know you're doing better than I am right now. I just know it. Stuff's been pretty shitty. But it's starting to look up ever since I decided to change majors. I hope you went through with it. I hope we have the balls to just suck it up and take the plunge.
Good luck. You've got this. Remember the end goal when you're feeling discouraged. Stay strong.
-you
