part 1.
a rating system can, and will!, make it easier for us to put
together a 'hall of fame' of the top 100 (or so) letters to the
future. this makes for better reading for all of you. (we will launch said top 100 page once we have lotsa ratings)
part 2.
jay and matt have been approached to do a book using the
futureme content, which sounds pretty exciting to us (and hopefully
to all of you, without whom this current wave of publicity would
not have been possible). your ratings will help us find the most
fantastic of all future letters to be considered for inclusion into
the futureme book.
and just how should you rate these letters, do you ask?
we leave that mostly up to you. we tend to like letters that are
some combination of funny, profound, pensive, quirky, hopeful,
imaginative, and contemplative. any letters that say "uh does this really work?" should get 1 pity star for being really lame.
hopefully that answered the 'huh?' question. if not, let us know and we'll see if we can't fix that.
